Artist Research Project

The artist research project enables you some free choice because you are going to be conducting research on any artist you choose. The artist can use any medium for his/her artwork, which means you can choose a graffiti artist, music artist, sculpter, etc. For more information on the project see the project description.

Photo Essay

We are well underway with our photo essay project. Hopefully you have made the cover of your book, or the skeleton of your PowerPoint for this activity. For the next two weeks you will be compiling the final version of your photo essay. The final product needs to be uploaded to your blog by Monday March 23, so make sure you are staying on top of everything.

Protest Song Activity

Everyone should have their own protest song posted to their blog by now. See the requirements on the course handout if you are still missing this activity.

Make your own blog

All students in this course are required to make their own blog. See Rachael for step-by-step instructions on how to get this going. Everyone needs to have their blogs created with an introduction complete by Friday January 23rd.

This blog will enable everyone to share what they have done in this class with each other and the Rainshadow community as a whole. Constructive feedback is encouraged!

Creating our course calendar

With this course you are offered a lot of freedoms in what we choose to discuss, however we must first come up with a list of engaging topics that we could delve into and then connect them to a creative way of expression. Some ideas I have heard so far are as widespread as bowling to gangs, so think of some topics you would like to bring to the table. As a class we will vote on our topics and set-up our course calendar based on the selections.
